Bet on Sports and Make it More Interesting

For some people betting on sports is a taboo which according to them will strip the sport of its game. They say that the true purpose of sports it to deepen the camaraderie among men and to bet on it would destroy these ideals. But there are also those who argue otherwise. According to some, betting on sports would not only help boost its popularity but would also impose upon it a different kind of fascination not experience by those who do not bet. While conceding that the true purpose of sports is to deepen the camaraderie among men, it is however difficult to admit that by betting, one is taking away the excitement of the game. In fact, the opposite of that seems to be the truth.

Most people who are into betting on sports, whether it be basketball, football, or baseball, experience a different feeling when watching the game into which they have placed their bets. This is especially true with regard to heavy betters. Betting on sports does not

Magic:96 Celtics:92 Series Celtics Lead 3-1. In the first, they gave up and ran. Tonight, they stood tall and answered the bell — and Orlando’s 96-92 overtime victory was perhaps the game of the playoffs to date. “I think everybody on our team took Game 3 very personally,” JJ Redick said. “We’ve been a very tough group, a group that plays hard. And I think everybody kind of internalized things. “There wasn’t a lot of rah?rah, there wasn’t a lot of rhetoric, there wasn’t a lot of cliches going around the locker room. It wasn’t about yelling at guys. It was just, let’s go out and play and be who we are.” Neither team was particularly sharp, as 57 fouls and 35 turnovers can attest, but events were fiery until the end as elbows flew, and every player had a moment that either shook or silenced the arena. But while the Boston Celtics offense stagnated as it did during so many second-half collapses during the regular season, the difference was in Orlando. Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy spoke after Game 3 of keeping his team from giving in to human nature, down 3-0 in the series, and escaping. They did just that in getting an eight-point lead in the first nine minutes, but the Magic again had to avoid the temptation of ease when the Celtics gained their first lead of the game to close the third quarter. “The hardest thing is when you go behind in a game like this, and you’re down 3-0,” Van Gundy said. “What you’re fighting against is that human nature to let it go. “If you don’t

Atlanta Hawks

Targeting the aim with a clever and sharp eye like a Hawk, The Atlanta Hawks are an American professional basketball team based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are part of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association (NBA). The franchise was formed in 1946 and their final relocation took place in 1968, when the Hawks moved to Atlanta, Georgia. The franchise was formed in 1946 as the Tri-Cities Blackhawks in the Quad Cities area.

The Blackhawks eventually became one of the National Basketball Association’s 17 original teams after a merger in 1949 of the 12-year-old National Basketball League and the four-year-old Basketball Association of America. The Blackhawks reached the playoffs in the NBA’s inaugural year, under the leadership of coach Red Auerbach. However, the following season, they failed to qualify for the postseason. Despite this, the Hawks were one of the league’s worst teams, and in 1955 the Hawks

As the saying goes, “close only counts in nuclear war and horseshoes.” Since the New Jersey Nets became members of the NBA in 1976, they have played in two NBA Finals series. While their first NBA title remains elusive, the Nets continue to play for the coveted NBA Championship trophy.

Before they were the New Jersey Nets, they were the New Jersey Americans and New York Nets, which played in the ABA from 1967 to 1976. How did the Americans become the Nets? Someone had suggested to the team’s owner, Arthur Brown, that the name “Nets,” rhymed with two other New York teams: the “Jets” and the “Mets.” Brown seemed to like the idea, so it stuck.

After roughly a decade in the NBA,

The Philadelphia 76ers Have Created a City of Basketball Love

You have probably heard of the Philadelphia 76ers, but have you heard of the Philadelphia Warriors or the Syracuse Nationals? The Philadelphia Warriors played in the NBA from 1961-1962, before moving to San Francisco. Fortunately for basketball fans in the “City of Brotherly Love,” the Syracuse Nationals moved to Philadelphia, prior to the 1963-1964 season.

The Nationals would become the 76ers. This was due to a “name the team” contest that a man named Walt Stahlberg won. The name “76ers” refers to the 1776 signing of the Declaration of Independence, in Philadelphia. Here are some other interesting facts about Philadelphia:

• Betsy Ross sewed the first American flag, in Philadelphia
• Benjamin Franklin founded the first United States public zoo, in Philadelphia
• Johann Behrent constructed the first piano in the Americas, in Philadelphia (1775)
• Philadelphia published the United States’ first daily

Lakers’ Get a Blazing Victory

Portland’s player LaMarcus Aldridge was the lead scorer on the team who secured 22 points with another 11 points from rebounds.  The five starters all scored in double figures.  However, Trail Blazers succeeded in shooting only 39%.

This was the first time the Lakers had come face to face with the Train Blazers since their winning game with them at the opening of the season.  After the 96-76win, this was the lowest lead victory ever for Portland over Los Angeles.  The Lakers being the defending champions of Western Conference didn’t do much to elevate the enthusiasm of their fans when they barely managed to raise their 4 points lead, thanks to a 15-3 run only towards the end of the game.   Basketball livescores are continuously being updated on ScoresPro.com.

The players that really made a difference were Bryant and Gasol.  They got the ball rolling for the Lakers with their 16 foot jumpers.  Derek Fisher did well by adding a 3 pointer to

How long will the Cavaliers spell at the top last

The Cleveland Cavaliers are without a doubt the major team that is really reaping from Santa’s visit this festive season. For the first time this season the Cavaliers are occupying the top spot at the Eastern Conference.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are without a doubt the major team that is really reaping from Santa’s visit this festive season. For the first time this season the Cavaliers are occupying the top spot at the Eastern Conference.

This great achievement came on the day when their inspirational leader Le Bron James was celebrating his 25th birthday. Good news for James is that his name is among the favorites, in the selection of the Most Valuable Player (MVP).

It now seem as if the Cavaliers have risen above the inconsistent performances they were experiencing the first quarter of the 2009-2010 NBA season. In all the 17 games they have played in the month of December, they have only lost thrice. On their way to the top,

Nba Playoff Tickets – Contenders In East At A Premium

Despite the rumors that the Eastern Conference was catching up to the West, the Western Conference has once again asserted its dominance in the league.  Though the eighth seed in the West will boast a winning percentage higher than 60%, it appears that the eighth seed in the East once again will reach the playoffs without winning half of their games.  Due to the general lack of depth in the East, there seem to be only a few true contenders to reach and win the NBA Finals.  Even with only a couple teams seeming to have a legitimate shot at winning the East, <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:_gaq.push(['_trackPageview', '/outgoing/article_exit_link']);” href=”http://www.stubhub.com/nba-playoff-tickets/”>NBA playoff tickets</a> are still sure to sell quickly due to a bevy of intriguing potential opening-round matchups.
